| The Secret |
Not long ago, the lady i work with was telling me about this thing that was shown on tv called 'The Secret' and how the basic principle was that what ur thoughts are is what u attract in life.
Then not long after she told me about that show, a segment was aired via Oprah. She brought in a whole panel of guests to talk about this dvd about the secret. Firstly, one of the ladies goes that those ppl who always say that they have bad luck in r'ships (im one of those ppl..guilty as charged!) are actually "placing an order with the universe" cos the more u tell urself that, the more u are going to attract that (hence why i really WAS havin bad luck in r'ships) So now i jst gotta believe that he WILL come to me and it will be perfect! hehe...even if this is all bogus, the fact that it encourages positive thinking is still good enough right ppl? =D
Also, i think the same lady on Oprah was saying that after watching the segment, u will be bound to hear, see, read etc about 'The Secret' within the week. And freakishly enough, i first read an article on it in Cosmo, then Amy.C emails me about it, and i was literally jst looking thru the career section of SMH now (as i usually do to find any good jobs) and low n behold...there is yet another article talkin bout 'The Secret'! sheesh...talk about secret overload!!

I think The Secret is one of those things that the hardcore scientific people will turn up their nose at (like my older bro). They claim that it's scientific - I don't know about scientific but it certainly brings hope for leading a better life. It especially resonates with me since recently I've been learning so much from my course and one thing that really stands out for me is to be positive. Positive thinking goes a long way. =)
