| Self-Consciousness |
Have u ever noticed (or maybe its jst me) but whenever u are doing a particular thing (lets use singing as an example) that once a person (lets call them X) lets u know that they think ur singing is crap, that whenever you sing in front of X, u always end up being crap even if u were fairly good at it in the first place. The thing is, u know X already thinks u suck at singing so u try even harder to not be as crap as X said u were and because u are more conscious of what u are trying to do, u end up being crappier than if u were to sing in front of anyone else. Do i make any sense? What im tryna say is that this X person has pretty much stomped on any credibility of u being able to perform as well as u could have.
So the moral of the story is: dont ever make someone feel as though they cant do something well. If you honestly think they suck, keep it to urself. It really does no one any favours cos its not like by telling them they suck that they will become "better"...of course im talkin abt things deeper than SINGING here.
Anyway, what does it matter...u should jst focus on ur own life. As cliche as it sounds - if u hav nothin good to say, dont say anything at all (unless it TRULY does help them become a "better" person).

I totally got your drift. It's self-fulfilling prophecy or maybe it's just the stress of having X person judge you harshly on your mind that makes you perform worse than you normally would. PRESSURE! I have no idea what you're referring to but I'm expecting you to tell me next time! Haha.
